Last week was a crazy and good week for ANRC. The Thursday post “Get over it”, “Just Fine”, “Normal” took on a life of its own and has already been viewed more times than all other pages or posts, with the exception of the home page on this blog. I’m still trying to catch up on emails and private messages sent to me, I will respond to you all – I promise. If you’re a non-preemie family, I really encourage you to go back and read, not just the post, but also all the comments. It’s like a window into the hidden thoughts of preemie and special needs parents or, really, anyone who has dealt with ongoing medical issues. I’d also like to say thank you to the people who left comments or sent me messages. I can’t tell you how many times I was brought to tears reading these notes. My gratitude runs deep.
Want to know another crazy thing that happened last week? Owen’s starting to communicate with a couple of words and signs! He is signing “eat” and, I think, “all done”. Whether not he’s signing “all done” is less important, because he is saying it! Check out this video (showed last week on FB) where he says “all done” and then “ya” (Turn up volume – he whispers)
Also crazy (in a very different sense of the word) is waking up each day to my husband with this not-so-flattering stache. Kyle is growing some facial hair for the Movember movement in efforts to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. I’ll admit, I try not to wrinkle my nose at it, I prefer him clean-shaven, but it’s a wonderful cause and the pictures make us laugh (somehow the pictures are much funnier than real life).
As if that’s not enough crazy in one household, every day this guys up to something…
